As we get ready for another day in lockdown and another day working from home for many, I thought I’d share a quick update.
Since 2020 working from home has become a part of our new normal, and while there are certainly some perks like skipping a long commute, it’s worth acknowledging how difficult this still can be.
Our organisations digitisation of processes and investment in cloud-based tech over the past few years has ensured our ability to deliver the quality services our clients expect is uninterrupted (whether on site or from afar). This means that our real focus can be on the wellbeing of our people.
Managing a diverse team means it’s important that I consider everyone individually and check in regularly to ensure they’re coping ok. Some are happily staying connected via our weekly virtual coffee catch ups, regardless of how long it’s been since they’ve met in person, but others need a bit more support to feel connected.
So where do we go from here? We’ve decided to get Merv Neal from Holistic Services Group on board to run a resilience workshop for our team later this week – because we don’t want our team to just survive, we want them to thrive. The workshop should provide the opportunity for us all to pause and consider how we are coping, and what strategies we can put in place to improve our wellbeing as we learn about the ‘Seven Pillars of Personal Holistic Health’. We’ll also get to learn about how what other organisations have put in place to support their teams which should be interesting.
Hopefully, we can share some great tips and tricks with you as we look forward to everything stabilising in 2022!
